The Service is looking for an Recruitment Assistant (FTC until October 2018) to join our busy Recruitment Team.

The post holder will be required to:

  • Have experience in working in a recruitment function, managing vacancies from end to end
  • Have experience of administering / running assessment centres
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Be able to work as an individual and as part of a team

  • Provide guidance and direction on the most appropriate recruitment activities for each of our On-call fire stations
  • Co-ordinate the activities of the station, ensuring the benefits of each campaign are maximised
  • Plan, organise and participate in recruitment fairs / open days / recruitment days
  • Promote the On-call Firefighter role to businesses by visiting premises, generating contacts, arranging meetings and giving talks

Salary:

Flexible Duty supplement:

The post holder will also receive a 20% pensionable supplement of the basic salary in respect of their participation in the flexible duty system.

Principal Officers’ Rota supplement:

The post holder will receive a 9% pensionable supplement of the basic salary in respect of their participation in the Principal Officers’ Operational Command Rota (shared with Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service at Area Commander Level).

Performance related supplement:

A non-pensionable performance related supplement of up to 4% of total pay (including flexible duty supplement, weekend resilience supplement and additional hours supplement) may be awarded.
